In the Face of Adversity- Stay the Course!

FearNOT

Difficulties are a surety.
Trials are a guarantee. It’s no secret that there are harsh realities of life, that come to distract and dissuade us from our journey. The challenges are coming and they can be fierce. My experience is that whenever you determine to become better, to change and to grow, you WILL be challenged.  The enemy, our adversary, is on the hunt, actively seeking a prey to devour. His only aim is to deter us from our course, by any means necessary!  When we decide to trust God, for anything, he is coming with an all out assault against our faith. In the Face of Adversity- Stay the Course!

Never Concede! Never Compromise!

Michelle full BIO PIC

So, “Never Concede…Never Compromise” What does it mean…to me? There’s so MANY things, ways, and purposes I could speak on indicating what this means, and on so many different levels we could expound on this subject. When I first started working for MSU, my supervisor used to tell me I thought on things too much: that I needed to relax and K.I.S.S…Keep It Simple ‘Shelle:) So in the spirit of greeting you with a Holy Kiss (LOL) –Never Concede…Never Compromise. Simply put: DO NOT GIVE UP!!!  NO matter how many times you fall. No matter what,  or how many things are thrown at you.  No matter the avenues in your life that he attacks…your family, friends, finances, or health.  He’s the same foe with the same tricks…WHICH HAVE ALL BEEN OVERCOME!!!!  Talk to The Lord, cry, devise a plan, get someone to agree with you in prayer, and MOVE FORWARD!  Hard?!  Most Definitely!  Impossible?  No! In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us (Romans 8:37 NIV) . (My favorite book/scriptures to keep me moving forward!)  Romans 8  That passage of Word has Delivered me out of the enemies grip countless times. Although I KNOW we are NOT to become weary in well doing, IF I can be transparent, there comes that time when we get “tired”…well at least I do. I’ll even admit to times in my life when there were so many darts firing at me, I’d contemplated giving up. I don’t know if anyone else ever faced multiple giants during a weary season -when you were already wounded- and thought, “If I give up, he’ll leave me alone.” If I just sit, dormant, he’ll no longer see me as a threat and I can breathe.” My mental stability was on the line and I questioned if I’d ever be whole.

Living by Faith: Bible Study With C. Rose

“Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.” ~J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship Of The Ring

We all need to live by faith. I studied faith and here are some scriptures I came across.

Matthew 21:21

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.

Matthew 14:31
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

NEVER CONCEDE!

Never Concede

Several years ago, after going through a particularly difficult experience, the Father gave me a personal challenge: to change my mindset with regard to how I would approach adversity from that point forward.
From this discourse with God, was born the following maxim that would impel me toward a new state of mind:

Never Compromise

EDIT NvrComp

I told you from the beginning that this website would serve as an invitation to join us on a journey to change and growth. I have come to realize that the journey is very phasic. Some stages of the venture move quickly, some move slowly; then there are the points along the way where everything halts. For the sake of transparency, I was in a halted position, contemplating and assessing. I needed to stop, re-calibrate myself and determine if I was truly committed to this process of development. I have taken the time I needed and I am back…with a vengeance.
Our last discussion touched on the subject of concession: specifically “never concede”. I earnestly urged you to never accept defeat in any area of your life. Today, I’d like to delve even further into the Hall Mantra and tell you to Never Compromise.  Most often, when the word “compromise” is used, it is indicative of two or more parties, mutually settling differences or conflicts by agreeing to meet “somewhere in the middle”. Basically, each surrenders a portion of what is truly desired in an attempt to find common ground that is favorable, or acceptable, to all involved. In this regard, compromises are necessary and needful. However, there is a more appropriate definition for our discussion:
